Webinar HAND ET Child-Teacher Dialogue A Participative Approach to Making Lessons More Inclusive

HAND:ET Consortium is continuing to raise awareness and explore the topics and key concepts for supporting teachers’ well-being and developing their socio-emotional competences and diversity awareness (SEDA).

We are dedicating our attention to a bit different approach to supporting teachers in responding to learners’ diversity in the classrooms and that is by implementing a collaborative action research model – Inclusive Inquiry.

If you want to learn more about this topic, we kindly invite you to register for the webinar that will be held online on September 28th 2023 at 3 p.m. (CET).

Lisa Paleczek, PhD and Barbara Gasteiger-Klicpera, PhD, representatives of the UNI Graz – University of Graz, HAND:ET lead partner leading the Quality Assurance of the project and responsible for the implementation of the project (especially the teacher training) and the evaluation in Austrian schools will share their experience from the Erasmus+ project Reaching the 'Hard to Reach' (2017-2020) where they implemented this participative approach based on the child-teacher dialogue which requires teachers and students to participate actively as research partners alongside colleagues from universities, with the aim of improving classroom practices.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the materials and practical instruments that enable the participation of students and researchers in lessons reflection and planning to include all children in lessons, especially those seen as hard to reach (e.g., Inclusive Inquiry Guide, Student’s Voices Toolkit) as well as to get to know the theoretical background behind this approach.

Date and time: 28th of September 2023 at 3 p.m. (CET)

Duration: 1 hour (45 min lecture and 15 min Q&A)

Lecturers: Lisa Paleczek, PhD and Barbara Gasteiger-Klicpera, PhD

Participants: Open to all interested parties in the topic of supporting teachers' well-being, teachers’ professional development, socio-emotional competencies, diversity awareness and other complementary topics.

Register by 26th of September here.
